We source cacao beans with incredibly interesting flavors and roast them delicately to preserve all of that flavor. They are then cracked and winnowed to reveal these aromatic and crunchy cacao nibs.
Cacao nibs are very versatile ingredients in the kitchen. They are great in salad, ice cream, yoghurt and adds chocolatey flavour to baked goods without the sweetness. Steep the nibs in balsamic vinegar to add complex flavour notes, perfect for bread or salad.
You can also brew a refreshing cacao tea out of these nibs!
*Note to beer brewers*
These nibs add incredible complexity to beers and are perfect in darker styles like porter and Russian Imperial Stouts. We like them cold-infused a few days before serving but feel free to experiment! If you have a specific flavour profile to achieve in mind, please contact us for an in-depth discussion.
