Founders Paul and Emma wanted to create something unique and exciting to celebrate a decade of excellence with their brand, Chocoladeverkopers—a name that might be tricky to pronounce unless you're Dutch, but it simply means "chocolate sellers."
What began as a small hobby has expanded into a full-time business that now occupies an entire room in their home. 10 years on, they sell over 400 specialty craft chocolate bars, with their ever-growing library of treats delighting chocolate lovers everywhere.
During their cycling adventures across Europe, Paul and Emma immersed themselves in the wonders of nature and stumbled upon a hidden gem: Forno Becagli Borgognissanti, a local bakery in Florence where locals queued up for the best focaccia they’ve ever tasted.
Their love for bold flavors deepened after making Yotam Ottolenghi's Garlic Tart, prepared with three whole bulbs. This experience revealed garlic's transformative qualities—its sweet, complex character shining through—and opened their eyes to how its deep flavours could beautifully complement the taste profile of fine cocoa, a key component of exceptional chocolate.
That’s when they turned to us at Fossa Chocolate to help bring their vision to life. We were thrilled to take on the challenge—creativity, innovation, and a passion for flavours are at the core of everything we do. Sharing photos from their travels, Paul and Emma recounted the flavours and experiences that left a lasting impression on them. Brimming with ideas, they were eager to transform these cherished memories into something truly special for a momentous occasion.
